Perfect location, wonderful home We are a family of 6 (3 adult couples from the UK and Canada), and we stayed at Villa La Peyriere for a week in June. Karen was excellent from the start - very prompt and happy to answer any questions we had. The house was fantastic. The photos don't fully convey the space we had - the pool area is lovely and tranquil, and the patio was a fantastic place to have our breakfast each morning. The house is very well located - an easy 8 minute walk into town down a quiet road, but as it's set away from the street it's a very peaceful place to relax too. Every morning my parents would head into town to get our bread, croissants, etc. and we'd have a leisurely breakfast on the patio overlooking the pool. The kitchen is also very well stocked with cooking equipment, and it was a pleasure having BBQs outside for dinner. A great spot, which we highly recommend as a base for exploring the area. Top tips are to rent Canoes at Canoes Loisirs in nearby Vitrac (the gentle trip down the river to Beynac was AMAZING - something we will never forget). Also, if you want a break from driving, we highly recommend Taxi and Touring A La Carte. We used them to drive us to a very special dinner in another town one night, so that we could all relax and have a drink. The driver, Christoph, gave us a little tour of the area on the way to dinner, and he was a charming tour guide who lives locally and speaks fluent English. He also offers day tours of the area, and can customize tours and offer recommendations based on what you want to see and do. A delightful stay!
